EDIT: I can still get the initial complaint to present if I try hard enough, but I've noted that every element mentioned here has been either fixed or pre-empted. I don't expect I will see this again through normal play unless I use methods that are no longer intuitive nor neccessary. So... (Fixed)
(Or maybe you did nothing, I'm crazy, and I'm just adjusting my playstyle, there's always that.)

One item however on the items vanishing when dropped into the environment by a worker (which was the last I was waiting on), I'm assuming you tackled this. I only discovered this after seeing under my building by chance while conducting further tests.. Guess what I found? I huge pile of Hemp bales. So Items falling through the floor may be yet another element. I assume this will be addressed with the new map so I'm sticking a fork in this. Tested and confirmed items are now being dropped at the point of the cursor. I still saw no physics from cursor to ground however, only after impact did the bale materialize.

EDIT 2: Okay, Can pick up items through windows again. This was fixed yesterday, and is presenting again today, exact same test. The furniture disappearing in town after a build/structure-buy that I reported elsewhere was also fixed, (except vendors were still broke after) and now it's presenting again. Now only in structures close to the point I built/bought at. I'm not even going to bother retesting any of this other shit.

I'm going to pretend I have a non-standard hardware setup or something that's causing all of this and walk away now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tested on a farm plot, seems pretty easily reproducible for me, if further information is required, can provide. This has been happening pre and post import across multiple games.

While working plot, open nearby well inventory and just drop water into pack (I use a large trader pack to generate large stacks.)

Load the farm water-resource queue with your first six via drag-drop (only method I'm getting to work from a pack btw), then drop your second six in, which should yield a net of 2 still on the cursor.

If these two water barrels don't get back into the pack in an extremely timely fashion (this is a guess, I don't always lose them, just most of the time) they will vanish from the cursor, not appearing in the environment.

A double swap yielding two in queue and ten on cursor does this to the resource on the cursor as well.

Little bug. Not sure if this is what you're after right now but I noted a landslide happened under the formerly bugged Catan trader building so I figured maybe.

As per your request:

I set up a simple test space with the needed stuff. Character "Kenshi" should have ample barrels to test. Learned new element trying to get firm duplicatability.

Just open the farm, set speed to max, and make sure farm is being worked.

Water resource on farm window will deplete, Hopper will not update, should still show 9 barrels.

After one full unit depletes drop barrel stack onto hopper/queue. Hold remainder on cursor.

Water hopper will now update and barrels on cursor will vanish.

EDIT: Nevermind... there's another element, having to do with swapping the view around. Working on it now.
This is happening, I'm not simply dropping them into the environment (no 3d environment model for these barrels yet), well ultimately I think that is what's happening, but from the window.

Much hair gnashing and tooth pulling later...

Elapsed time between this post and my previous post may be relevant. That's about how long, minus about an hour or so, it took for me to start getting a pretty frequent return on this test. Methods changed as I went a little, but the time may be a factor if there's a leak or something of that nature affecting this (as my gameplay degrades slightly over time normally, MUCH better than it used to be, but I still feel it a little).

Elements:

1: when working a crafting station (farm and loom were tested) any resource dropped from the working character does not appear in environment. (This I learned after dumping a pile of water barrels in a building, that worked fine, dropping hemp bales from a working toon, they all never appeared in the environment, hopper, or pack, same at the farm with water.)

2: transparent windows/cursor purge. As is likely well known by now items in windows under top window can be manipulated and invariably are. (Like if you have a character inventory window open over a container window, you can grab container contents through the character inventory window. I'm assuming this is related.). I can, sporadically, drop water/hemp through the light grey portion of the crafting station queue window, which, per the above bug (1), fail to materialize in the environment. I assume I'm dropping it anyway. This above is done by holding an item on the cursor with no buttons depressed over the grey area while the machine is being worked. At various points, I suspect having to do with updating the hopper display, the cursor is purged.

3: In the test save I uploaded, moving the camera back and forth between the well, and the farm (to load the backpack), seemed to give increased instances of the water barrel disappearing regardless of where the cursor was positioned. For this test I hovered the mouse cursor over the middle of the dark gray hopper inventory square, to be sure I wasn't clipping the light grey edge and accidentally attempting to drop through the window. (I also tried other places, but that was the main focus) I believe this is a seperate issue from the ones above excepting perhaps the cursor purge hypothesis. Materials were not dropped to any visible location.

4: Of course after testing the save I just uploaded, hopper display seemed to be updating correctly. Given time however, it DID degrade. No f-ing clue what's going on there, If this didn't instantly materialize for you, then maybe letting it run a few hours before testing might give better results.

5: if you EVER hear the word "Easy" escape my lips again... Feel free to belt me with whatever's on hand. I do not envy you sir. But I guess that's why they pay you the big bucks. ;) (Who am I kidding? Keep on livin' the dream bro'.)

I hope to gods that something in all of this layman's drivel is helpful, I tried man, but I gotta hit the sack. Vacation is over.
