This game has been haunting me with bugs for year's (literally) which is why I am not enjoying this as much as I know I could.

Decided to start a new game to see if this version works any better, but apparently not for me.

I have 3 chars ATM from a clean start, was walking around and heading up to Hemp Town. got them within sight of town, then game freeze and error pops up. Have to close and lose progress.
Have only been playing for just under 10 minutes I would guess.

I checked my task manager and see Kenshi was up to almost 2gb. Seems normal to me...

My machine has 12gb of ram and usually my system stays under 15% total ram usage doing nothing..

Last 2 or 3 versions ago I actually made is a few hours at a time and had a full team of 20 but as soon as I built a wall (any wall) game would crash shortly after, then repeat constantly. That save was no longer any good, nor importing them as they would also crash the game.

I have also just set all shadows to minimum, and also off, lowest settings in plants - terrain, auto save and will just try again. Seems t have fixed the problem with all the above turned off/lowest setting. As I have now been playing for about 2 hours.

I am wondering if they are ever going to fix the gui as far as text is concerned at a resolution set at 2560x1600

I included the crashdump.zip file

1. the game is in development and will continue to have bugs until it leaves being in development. nothing we can do about that except post bug reports and upload crashdump.zip files to help find and squash said bugs.

2. You forgot the crashdump.zip file. how to do this is posted in Reporting a crash or bug thread.

3. I would assume your using the main branch of Kenshi and not the experimental ( including what version you're using helps a lot )

4. GUI is in development right now. and should be included soon in an upcoming update from the sounds of it. a preview of the new GUI can be found here and a older version and slightly different one found here

I am sorry if it sounded that I was upset/pissed with the game in ints current state. I love this game and every update that comes out. I am currently using 0.72v1 - x64

About the crashdump.zip file, sorry was not posted, but with firefox, weird that does not allow you to click on the "browse button" to find a file to upload, but it works with Internet Explorer do here it is.

I have not had a crash since posting before. Maybe it was just something as simple as turning on that single thread feature, as I saw in that zip file the error log it did have :
----------------------------
load game
reset game
Number of threads: 8

load game
reset game
----------------------------

I was also able to import my squad into a new game - but still scared about building any walls. So I will just buy some empty houses in Catun, and make that a home for now. Is there a way for me to dismantle objects in purchased houses, besides the forgotten kit?

I will gradually turn back up the terrain details, first - to test it.

Just happy I can play it again.

you can dismantle objects in building you bought if it has the option to.
Beds, counters, weapons racks ect.

though when you buy it, its supposed to be cleaned out so you have space to build.
it is a known bug though.

for those that can't be dismantled you can try using the ingame editor. ( not recommended as it can cause even more issues with your game ) or buy a large house and work around the areas you cant dismantle until this issue is fixed.
