I'm pretty sure this new update will bring much content and many fixes in the game. I also hope to make it more "difficult" in many situations that for now its much more doable than it should be. (and of course a more living world but it doesnt much in the beggining)

So when the update is up (or maybe w8 2-3 days to get some hot fixes???) will u just import ur squad and continue playing from where u left, or u ll try propably 1st to make a new start from zero again and see how the "early game" changed, how its now, or try the new ways of early game surviving/profiting/getting stronger etc.

Personally i ll propably make a new start to see how it feels, maybe even try a different start than the default or the bottom rock (maybe the one that some fanctions will hate me?). If i like it enough i ll propalby forget about the old guys and keep playing like that, if i feel its more or less the same, or i just want to have maybe 2 parallel saves i ll import it.
So what about u guys?

Both, I try and start a new game with every major update just to see how things work. (That's why have around 10 games that I keep rotating.)
But I can't just abandon the old crews.
Normally I like to make them start over with nothing but lots of building supplies, but because the building supplies could be different this time, they might have to start out with the clothes on their backs. (better stick some bread in the back packs, cause that hungry look is just disturbing :-)
But there are a couple that have a pretty nice outpost that I would like to keep so they might not get thrown out in the cold or heat or sand.

Also the tech tree is different so I'm thinking that I will not import my research this time and make the start from the beginning.
But who knows. Gotta wait till we see it. I'm wondering if the old map will actually be part of the new one or if it's all going away and we will have to start from scratch.

Not a chance.
I might ditch the supporting cast, the research, and the buildings, but I'm importing my avatar. He's been around way too long to start fresh.

I want to reset everything else though. I kind of want to ditch all the armor, equipment, money.
Dress them all like a starving bandits squad and see what the Beta does to them.

Be so hard to discard things like specialist grade chainmail and Edgewalkers blades though X(

I don't know if I can do it...

I'm starting fresh. Already got my whole squad planned out, one of every race/sub-race. Likely going to be an outlaw of some sort so that going into town is risky. Hopefully the hunger should make that difficult.

Will also probably import my main solo character at some point as well. Likely only take what he can fit in his pockets and his bag.

And that's why I just shove them into a bag to never be used. I've actually still got a glitched blackened chain shirt that's ungraded, from before armour quality was implemented, which makes it's stats abnormally high (higher than Masterwork). Just sitting around tucked into a bag, never to be used as I would feel like a cheater. But I also can't bring myself to throw it away. :D

:D I had one of those too! I was completely convinced it was a magic item. Mine happened to be sneaky chain halfpants. I called them magic pants.

Someone later told me it was just a glitched base item and I threw them out. I don't want no glitched cheater pants either.

Edgewalkers blades are a different story though. The RNG required to find one (and the right blade type) is just so slim...

I'm torn about starting completely over. I've always started new games without importing research or buildings, but I almost always import my squads.
I really want to add members of the new races, but I am already well over the max with 72 characters.
The last time I started over with new characters was over two years ago and even then I imported my first main character which was several years older than that.
I've become attached to these simulated wastelanders and can't bring myself to get rid of any of them to make room for newer ones.

I will import them, they're not that OP anyway... I recently started a new game, have around 20 chars, with 10 fighters and 10 workers, although the fighters also do some work

Okay so importing games with loaded bread sacks was not helpful in 90.1 as all the bread had only 1nu. Must have gone stale on the trip over. And it was darn hard to get even my smallest gang of 15 started from the new import point. I did try one of my middle range games with 70 characters and by the time I got them to a town to buy food there were 65 bone skinny starving sticks. Lucky they were rich and could by out all the bars in town.

With 90.11 they fixed the bread so if you restack it in your inventory it returns to the proper nutrition values. So the latest group I imported (about 30 characters) is not having to much trouble. But with the constant crashes with 90.11 I have not been able to take them very far. I'm hoping the constant crashes get fixed soon so I can continue and see how they do. Their problem is they are all shek and they are not able to go to a HN town to buy a firestarter kit. Might have to send in one of their slaves to get it.

I imported and right off the bat dismissed a bunch of characters so that I wouldn't starve, took my main guys and started a couple farms, and now i can add some new guys in. Have a new game running too but it's tough going.

I have a great mix.
Started a new game and I'm still working on building that one up. It's great to really struggle to make it. But I have a small base and about 20 characters now.

I have one game that I imported with 17 characters and is now up to 22. They are my scouts. I'm playing them as nomads and they are traveling around look at all the fun stuff. They also report back where some of the better base locations are for the bigger games that I want to import, but currently don't dare to as they are over 100 characters and will all starve too quickly if I don't know just where to take them to start a base right away.

I have one game that is about 50 Sheks that I imported and they are playing as hunters and are surviving on beak things and bulls. I have not set a camp for them yet but I think they will stay near the hive area for the abundant wildlife. Yummy.

I have one game that I imported and it has 99 characters. They are struggling and have lost a few to starvation. Mainly because I didn't know where to set their camp, and the place that I did they couldn't grow enough crops to keep it viable. I have learned and with the last update have imported without buildings and sent them out to another location. We will see how the holy nation likes me camping in their back yard.

Getting ready to start a new game with just skeletons. But have not decided on the start for that one yet.

I LOVE THIS GAME!
