After i imported into 90.10 i found that farms will use water but never grow.
Edit: I am currently only using wheat and veggie farms

This, and my guy just tries to harvest the farm instead of adding water to them.
You have to assign workers to the Farm as "Haulers" to do this you hold down Shift and then right click on the Farm and select "examine". Also, once the plants are all grown, until they are all harvested the farm will not be supplied with water.lucidmadness wrote:This, and my guy just tries to harvest the farm instead of adding water to them.
unless you mean even after the plants are harvested they still aren't supplying water.

you have to destroy and rebuild the farm after import to get them to grow again. you might be able to just order someone to dismantle it and cancel it before its completed but otherwise nothing will grow.
So far, the way I found to fix this was after importing, save your game and immediately reload it. They will start to grow again after doing this, it will also take like 1 barrel of water and then they will start to steadily grow.LostSaint6689 wrote:After i imported into 90.10 i found that farms will use water but never grow.

I thought they were going to need to be rebuilt myself until I tried reloading to confirm if that would work.

So in 0.90.10, I assume farms work like this...
Untilled-Requires Labor-No Water
Tilled-Requires Time-Needs Water
Grown-Requires Labor-No Water
Repeat
I've also found that sometimes a farm (Greenfruit is all I have) will be tilled and consume water (stage 2) but not grow. It's a shame that dismantling farms doesn't give back the resources you put into it. It really screwed me over.
Also, in regards to water, the farms consume water at all times, regardless of what stage it's in. It's merely my opinion that they should stop consuming water while being tilled and picked.
