ETA For Updates

Hey Chris, don't mean to be bothersome or anything, but I know you said it would take a good few months for all those that you have listed to be implemented. My question, would it be possible to get a really rough idea on how long it might take for the new character models and all? Just wondering if it would be possible for an idea, nothing serious or anything.

1. Weapon crafting and new research tiers (1 week)
Walls
2. New character + armour artwork, better character customisation.. Will replace everything, probably leaving all your characters naked after the update.
3. Armour + clothing crafting.
4. AI harassment, threats, raids and assaults on your base.
5. Females
6. Sound
7. Crossbows, ranged combat
8.New bigger world map, layout, and varied biomes.

I'll stop there because I could go on forever. The above list will take at least a good few months

So the rough idea to complete "the character models and all" is "a good few months". Of course, that could mean anything from 2 months to 12 months. I'm guessing it's 3-6 months myself.

i guess it'll be a month or so to get up to the walls, then 2-3 more for new models and all..

Chris is pretty good about knocking out updates fairly quickly most of the time, although the crafting update will be fairly large so it is difficult to say. The general rule is, when we don't hear from Chris for awhile it is because he is keeping his head down and working diligently to get things done.

I am still crossing my fingers that we see the crafting update tomorrow Can't wait to mine the new resources and make weapons He did say "1 week" last Friday but I suppose we can cut him some slack... but would make for a fun weekend patch release

Welp it is Friday... no update "yet", so that is actually a good thing. It means that he COULD release it NOW, but he is making sure as many of the derpy bugs are out of it before we get to toy around with it. But I am sure he knows we are all eagerly stalking the website looking for the second it happens
