Is this release only on Desura/Steam for now? I'm still one of the old-fashioned DRM free nutjobs and I'm apparently still stuck on 0.67.2. =/

maybe there is some free drop box or file server which some kind member could put it into or we can download from somewhere rather than Chris having to pay for extra bandwidth?:

Yeah, this is happening for me too. Oh well, Chris will get it all sorted out soon.

69 is experimental version only and you can only get it on steam

Isn't every version an experimental version in an alpha? =P

Furthermore, there has been no explicit mention of opt-in testing anywhere on the news page, and the news page was rather particular about the update being available...

it was mentioned when it started that the next releases would be for experimental so that ones who don't wish to experience the worst of the bugs after a patch don't have to deal with it. they can wait until Chris gets most of the worst bugs before making it a official ( Mostly stable ) release.

UPDATE 0.68

This will be in the Steam experimental version only until most bugs are fixed. If you want to try it out now, go to Kenshi in your Steam library, right click->properties->Betas and select Kenshi Experimental version. You can always switch back again if it gives you problems.
If you don't have the Steam version, remember you can use your game key to redeem it on Steam. Once this new version has been stabilised it will appear in the other auto-updaters.

Sorry about that - my fault! I've made the announcements clearer now hopefully
Thanks for clarifying, Hatsune :D
