I was thinking, what if the weapons had a more industrialised or improvised look? Like being made from scraps of metal or having bolts, etc.

I made a sword that kind of shows my idea, and I was wondering what other forum members (and Chris of course) thought of the idea

The above post was written in front of a live studio audience.

I made a version of the Ringed blade, which is probably my favorite weapon. I really like how this one turned out, apart from the bland look of the blade. (Yes I know the handle's wrap looks funky)

Chance the rings to bolts or something like that. Would make it even cooler IMHO :)

Hmm how exactly do you mean? Like bolts planted horizontally into the blade? Bolt Blade does have a ring to it :P

I try to explain my thoughts with my limited English( I doubt I could explain even with my native language  ) (Also I'm little drunk so try to understand  )

There are holes for the rings, If the rings were removed and you put bolts to the same place where the holes are. Big bolts that increase little blunt damage and maybe decrease cut damage.

I mean vertical(or what ever means from left to right) and I don't want it to be so symmetric, so the bolts would come for one side of the blade only. So if you think of putting screw through the holes, and put bolts to left(or right if you like) side of the blade to screws.

I'm sorry if this is just mumblejumble to you. Did you get what I'm trying to say? :?:

[EDIT]
It would make it more steampunk and less Japan IMHO.

Okay, I put a railing on there, and put bolts with the rectangular brackets (rings). It is in fact asymmetrical and the brackets are more to the left than the right. the larger bolt i added is also only on the left side and some of it sticks out the other side. Is this what you meant at all? :D

I hope it's an improvement to ya'll.

u think a great chainsword might apply to the game tho i sure it would b applied as a heavy weapon it should be rare as hell considering the idea that itd be more than likely OP just needs a sort of steam punk look to it ;)

I'm not sure if a chainsword would be something Kenshi needs, lol. I mean, it would be awesome, but like you said it'd be so powerful and IMO it's kind of mroe on the unreal side of stuff. I also don't think it could fit into the current combat since, well you know, it's a chainsword. The whole pressing it into the victim and shearing them apart thing

Just made a katana-like sword...Idk how well it'd fit into kenshi but man I'm proud of myself...lol.
Here's a link to it, it's a large picture.

Whoa. It's so beautiful  I think the newer saber is better. But the katana is so cool. I really want that

I'd vote this up. The design work makes it more unique, like Kenshi has its own setting rather than a post-apocalyptic desert world with a twist of the orient.
