Here is the next update, it was a lot of changes so there is a good chance of bugs. So I'm releasing it here first and I will solve all the major bug reports before I commit it to the auto-updater.
Try it out if you like and report bugs in the Testers Forum:

Doesn't work. When installing I get this and don't know how to get past it:

"What was once a pile of dirt, is now even greater pile of dirt, as I shoveled more dirt on it." - Kim Jong Un, 2013
Couldnt stand watching you not test the new patch so i made an account and found a solution!
If you just press okay on that box(or the X) it will still run if you just go in where you installed it.
The file that will let you play is named _core.exe and it runs the game smoothly for me, if you dont count the wave of bugs in it >.>

I also can't get past the "Disk #2" but after canceling it i could still play, i'm not sure if the game now misses any files but it seems to run just fine.
Edit
When i turn on "no terrain cutting" while i'm inside a building this happens:
Before: http://puu.sh/1iyQq
After:
http://puu.sh/1iyQU
http://puu.sh/1iyRN (It's like some sort of after-image of the building i was in)
This doesn't happen when i turn it on outside.
I'm not sure if this happens to other people or if it's known already.
It also happens in 0.29.7.

try installing the things in the kenshi/dependencies/ folder. I think thats whats failing to install.
I just got send flying: http://puu.sh/1iza2
Gotta love physics
I also get this error when starting the game: http://puu.sh/1izdA
Does it maybe have a connection to the installation "Disk #2" ?
I assume it's the updater.

I get this same message but even if I close it I cannot run the game as it crashes the game right away... You really need to do better job when you make these patches. even the 0.29.6 has the same issue.Santaissick wrote:Doesn't work. When installing I get this and don't know how to get past it:
The way I understood it, this "patch" isn't a patch at all, but more of a sneak peek of the next version. Chris all but knew there might be deployment issues, so he put it up here and asked for feedback on results. I fully expected to see something pop up, so it's no use berating the man.Kelloth wrote:I get this same message but even if I close it I cannot run the game as it crashes the game right away... If you want reliable patches, wait for release. If you want to help test, dig right in and enjoy what bugs pop up!

Agreed, I'm downloading and installing this patch now. I'm hoping it may fix the bug where my main character is stuck in one of the building. Even if it means another bug like flying has to get me out, its fine with me XD. Right now my "First Lieutenant" Jazz is leading my squad of 20. But they miss their leader. And those Holy Paladins do not like it when you raid their town. I would import the squad into a new game but I just built this awesome bar last night along with my shack and filled it with goodies. So I'm prepared to wait and train my squad in the meantime!Kanaro wrote:The way I understood it, this "patch" isn't a patch at all, but more of a sneak peek of the next version. Go Kenshi!
The installer on my attempt is complaining about "Disk2.pak" not being locatable. Since I can't decompress the installation .exe, and Disk2.pak doesn't exist in the Windows temporary folders (either of them), it'll never be found. I'm not sure if it's actually required and has resources or not, but it appears that people cancelling at the request for it are left with incomplete game resources.Chris_The_Great wrote:try installing the things in the kenshi/dependencies/ folder. The only things in my /dependencies folders at the time of installation are DX9, DotNet4.0Client, and vcredist_x86. All of which already exist on my machine as installed and working.

Seriously? Why don't you do it then. >:[
I am in no way affiliated with Kenshi, I just found that comment incredibly rude.

Considering this is a test release and everyone knows it, there isnt really reasonable grounds to complain about such a problem. I mean, its fine if its being mentioned but nobody needs to be berated over it. Could have just been a misunderstanding though, there's no need to take this further.
I had the same problem with the "can't find Disk2.pak", I just cancelled the installation, and i was able to start up, and load my saved game without out any errors. But after 1 to 2 minutes of playing, the game crashes. All I was doing was running through the desert with my squad following me.
Here are the crash reports.
I hope this helps.

Hey, my client has crashed after I tried to pick up one of my folks.
I also had to cancel the installation, as there was no "disk2" file. Hope it helps
Here's the dump:
