I accidentally did this, i carried a dust bandit into town idk why i healed him inside the big round building and he has been there for a good week just massacring the guards that never stop respawing it seems idk if this is part of the game but this guy is just not dying hes sitting in between the beds killing them 1 by 1 lol and you cansit there and loot the dead/ko guys easily and run n sell the gear for easy cash... i picked up asword that sold for 6000. (Update 1): further looking into apparently the bandit becomes invulnerable in town or in that spot because none of the guards can touch him.(Update 2):Re loaded save and tried again in a dif town to see if it would happen again and it does. just a fyi.

Did his skills increase, or can the guards just not hit him when he's between beds?

Guards can't touch him at all like they just keep missing, but it seems to only work on Dust Bandits.

I want to say it might have something to do with weapon reach, and not being able to close ground with the bandit. Though, if this only works with dust bandits, and not hungry bandits, then weapon length is not the issue. Unless you're talking about a dust bandit boss, since they have different weapons.
