Version:
0.40.0
Description:
Every now and then when I try to save my game (both the esc menu and pressing f5 give the same results) it gives an error that Kenshi has stopped responding. The game finishes saving and everything, and when I load the game back up I get ghost towns.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save the game
Consistency:
It happens inconsistently when trying to save.
System Specs:
OS: Windows 8 64 bit
CPU: AMD FX-6100 3.3GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970-UD3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4 sticks of 4Gb RAM 1600MHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Severity:
Crash
Workaround:
Import your squad to a new game.
Attached is my crash dump right after this happened. I can also attach my save game if it will help.

I can confirm that on my installation. It crashes quite randomly. I use the same configuration as in build 0.33 and 0.33 was absolutelly stable.
Additionally (i started to quicksave right often) it happened to me, that it crashes exactly during the saving process, which corrupts the saved gamed. When i load the game for the next time, all towns are ghosttowns. There are bandits and traders all around in the desert as usually, but in the towns there is no guard, no citizen, or anybody else. The Squad is indeed saved correctly.
Do you need any more crash dumps about that or system specifications?

It's been happening for a few updates now, I just thought I'd post it again, and hopefully get it fixed.

See if 0.40.1 fixes it. If not I will try something else.

Yeah, I keep trying to make a base, but I have to keep importing my squad with buildings and running back to it every time it crashes. It also doesn't help that I'm a compulsive game saver.eddy wrote:i hope this get fixed soon. This is happening to me too often its getting annoying

My crashing is 100% fixed. I played for like 10 hours yesterday and I only crashed when I tried to quickload after playing for a while.
I can upload that crashdump as well if you'd like, or shall I start a new thread for that?
