This will help me figure out if any specific groups of keys are not working
You currently need to be running Steam as beta version to use keys.

Once I switched to beta updates for Steam, it worked fine.
Thanks for working so hard on this amazing game! (I'm aware it's not done for me, thank you anyway)

Mine is not, and I'm fairly certain I purchased directly from this website. My order number is: 2012-0926-1150-45-040
I'm super patient on it working though, getting everything working on Steam for a single indie developer must be difficult. Great game also =)
Edit: oh and yes tried Steam Beta in case that helps
Edit 2.0: Scratch that, it now decided to work =)

Bought it from lofi games and updated to steam beta and it worked.
Order number 2011-1117-1815-01-245
Serial properly got activated on Steam, however, after I try launching the game and pasting serial (tried both copying from Steam and from original email with serial), I get the "The name/key you entered does not appear to be valid".
Area where name is supposed to be entered is blank, maybe game won't launch because it expects some specific set of name/key?..
UPDATE: Scratch that, it worked after I've read FAQ and written name/code combo in the same line. Maybe you should include that piece of info alongside other activation info?

I hope the Desura keys not activating on Steam is going to be looked into.
Obviously not a ton of people have taken this poll but still I have yet to hear from a single person either or here or elsewhere that got the game on Desura and has been able to register their key to Steam with the client in beta mode.

Welp, the only Solution I see is buying it on steam, now before the price goes up, I mean you already bought it on Desura or Gamersgate. Buying it on steam will also help the dev alot.
I missed the part about running Steam beta version, voted 'no' prematurely. I still don't know if my key works, because I have yet to try it in beta Steam.
EDIT: On further inspection (namely activating Steam beta participation and testing the code), yes, it does work.
EDIT 2:

EDIT 2:
Did you activate Steam beta participation? Under Steam -> Settings -> Beta Participation? Because I made that mistake (the mistake being not doing that, because doing that is required) at first.Sydious wrote:both lo-fi and desura keys are non functional on steam. have both and both fail to register as valid keys

I activated my key on Steam, but after installing the game I can't play it, because the game says my key is invalid.
I have one of the "old" keys (and according to the FAQ, I have to input my name before it), but doing so isn't working (maybe it's because my name has a "~" in it).
So I have the game on Steam, but can't actually play it.
Can you consider changing the way the few "old" keys work, or at least change mine, so that we only have to input the key (and not the name before) to activate the game, since this would probably solve my problem.
Thanks

I bought my copy through the front page, and my key worked on steam.
The above post was written in front of a live studio audience.

I'm afraid I don't have the ability to change the way the old keys work.FunktionJCB wrote:I activated my key on Steam, but after installing the game I can't play it, because the game says my key is invalid.
