Just wondering what is the most efficient way to train up your strength?
Game says it's leveled by "using heavier weapons in battle, or by travelling around with a very heavy inventory or encumbrance."
I've tried doing both things (Travelling heavy, using heavy weapons) for about an hour now and i just cant seem to figure out what im doing wrong. Or is it just the fact that leveling up your strength takes bloody ages?
Strength training?

You used to be able to knock out a trader and take their shopkeepers backpack, it weighed 100kg, and would give you the maximum strength gain rate, which is still kind of slow, but if you'd run around like that awhile you could get your strength up to 20-30 pretty quick. The other method is to carry as much heavy stuff as you can, I find that a large traders backpack filled to the brim with stacks of swords works alright.

The shopkeeper's backpack weighs 50kg. If you load yourself down and then pick up a teammate, you can build up pretty fast.Clawdius Talonious wrote:You used to be able to knock out a trader and take their shopkeepers backpack, it weighed 100kg, and would give you the maximum strength gain rate, which is still kind of slow, but if you'd run around like that awhile you could get your strength up to 20-30 pretty quick. What you can do to train relatively "quickly" is something I've done. Have a team of at least four. Choose two that you want to boost up the most, put those two plus a third in Shark or somewhere similar, place the fourth in a different, friendly town, and put a move order on the trainee carrying the second trainee to go to the second town.
Put on max speed, go afk, come back and have them walk back and forth. Any bandits will do minimal, if any, damage to you (give the best armor to the trainees, as it will increase their weight and reduce the damage if they do get hit), and be killed by the town guards. Have the trainee loot the weapons off the bodies and sell them, for that little bit of extra movement training and cash. Get even more if you join in the fight.
Sounds very boring to me and whats the point in playing a game if you go afk
.
Well i think exp percentage gained is +12% wile walking while beeing at max weight or "very" heavy
and +110% when fighting with heavy weapons.
offc you cant be in cb all the time but i find it less boring.
i think both sabre's and hackers give str exp aswell but i havent watched those closely enough to know how much %. So you might Always get the same % but exp gained depending on the weight of your weapon. I aint sure about it...
There is a bag that weighs 100kg i think its shopkeepers trade good bags or something like that.
There you can stack stuff in very usefull :p to put all ur junk on 1 character if you r trading.

I've found out that you can shift queue move commands. So when I started my game, I had 4 guys that I wanted to train up in strength before I sent them out into the world to murder bandits and make money. I got them some of the Large merchant backpacks, filled them to the brim with swords/heavy trading materials and shift queued them in a square around my base while I was building and micro managing the rest of my units. And then watching TV.
That way, no need to have them travel really long distance which might be unsafe.

15kg armor, 15kg pants, big backpack full of swords, armor, building materials (whatever), 3kg armored sandals, fill the regular inventory too, and then pick someone up. Shouldnt take too long. Would be easier if the person you picked up just added their weight to yours, but I think it's a flat 40kg. You could also put more backpacks in your inventory but I can't remember if their full weight is calculated.

People give flat 30kg.
I fill 3 large trader's backpacks with water from my well IIs and put one on the back and two in the inventory, gives ~400kg, should give most guys 12% (maximum) strength xp bonus. Also the fancy weight status "overloaded".
Other than that? A heavy weapon. Not the category, the weight matters. A 24kg hacker mkIII from truth gives more fighting str exp than a 20kg plank. (Ofc, the 48kg fragmented axe mkIII from truth gives most strength xp)

I believe Chris is thinking of implementing a certain level of strength gain up to a point from mining and other labor intensive work. Hopefully that is the case, because mining and smithing are both likely to build a fair amount of muscle.
