Hey all been ghosting around the forums for awhile now. Finally decided to contribute.

What does the advanced outposts tech upgrade do?

isnt that the round building structure, well i dont know for sure i went to bed last night before ending all the research

Smiley is right-- it just allows you to build those round buildings that trader places and some towns have. The outpost III, the first one you can get, costs 150 material, a little more than twice that of a large house. No idea on the outpost IV.

As I recall, Outpost IV is the HUGE outpost building (like the trade/first aid outpost NW of Clownsteady), which costs 200 units of building materials. Looking forward to building a huge trade hub/barracks in my city, with 5 of them in a cross pattern in the center, and then all the smaller buildings arranged in a gridiron around them.

Yup, 200 building materials, and something like two or three in-game days to build (for someone with a x1 engineering alone).
I already put one up and jebus it's huge. I jammed the Research Bench VI in it.

The outpost IV is really big lots of room. You can put the last research bench in there as well to get all of the top technologies.
