Hello all! Enjoying Kenshi a lot and am still playing the same campaign I started when I found out about this game from steam. My experiences thus far have led me to build a sprawling industrial metropolis called Charon in the valley east of South Port, recruit and train 20 people for not only surviving in this "harsh" world, but also creating a better tomorrow with the mass industry of Stone, Hemp, Fabrics, Wheatstraw, Bread, Rum, etc.
Everything but Weapons(as I am waiting for the ability to make steel bars, and the bug of having pull the sword out of the fire right as it's done or it's gone, to be fixed ) can be mass produced with at least 10-15 members of my flock. 5 members are continuously researching up to highest level of Weapon Research before I do more Weapon Smithing Micro to outfit my comrades.
Not a single suggestion yet, but I needed to build story. I've got almost half of the valley filled with tasty looking Hemp Farms, Wheat Farms, Wells, Saloons, Outpost IIIs and IVs(At Least 5 right now) and the bandits do nothing but wander towards the only locked door in my entire complex where I keep Curaga my medic and scientific research genius who has continously studied for the betterment of The Guild of Calamitous Intent.
Why do we need walls when the bandits ignore buildings, farms they can pillage, mines they can trash or buildings they can torch. They sort of saunter over to the locked door and start wailing on it while I gather 5-10 guys and just have it out. Grab Curaga and let him medic us up and send the really injured limping off to the Saloon-Barracks I made before sending them back to work.
The Most important Improvement for Kenshi, at this state of the game and in my opinion, is Better A.I., then we would have a reason for walls, or a reason for not pissing off another faction just to loot their corpses. "it's already in the works" has been stated, but I believe it is what's needed more then females characters, sound, clothing textures and what have you.
Let me repeat my point, there needs to be Better A.I. that might run towards my exposed farm and torch it before I can react and then RETREATS because he has seen 15 guys decked out with more shiny bits then he has seen in his life, or wander around the perimeter of my city and meet up with other bandits and conspire for a huge attack on me. This is more important than textures for the long term influences of the game that I have enjoyed very much.
edit- Also when characters need to retrieve something from a storage box, have them locate the closest one and not the first one that was built, really one annoying feature of the game when you are so spread out =x
Thank you for your time.
Story and Suggestions for Kenshi from 70 hours in.

Better AI would be kind of cool,
Also if you do have a better AI where the enemies can make intelligent decisions, I would think that it would also be good to include some very intelligent enemies as well as ones that tend to be stupid. Not everyone is equal after all and for a little more realism having different levels of intelligence for the enemies would be nice.
Also I am not sure if this would work or not but if the npcs where to gain skill and equipment and stuff on there own as the game progresses that would be kind of cool. I am not saying that the enemy would level up as you do cause I understand that your in a living world that isn't based on how strong you are. But it shouldn't be static either. Enemies that survive a fight should get better. I dare say some enemies should even have medics. Not to fair if only the good guys have the ability to keep there men alive.
Perhaps if any npc character is around for long enough maybe they could slowly get 'smarter' as in use better programming to behave more intelligently in battle situations. Also it would even be cool if someone who has been around for a very long time could become a 'faction leader' who could maybe you know build there own outposts and base just like you. This base would have all of the same features as what a player made base would have with the same research potential for buildings and crafting. If this was done of course you would want some kind of limitations. Can't have every npc creating bases everywhere but if limited to 1-2 leaders per region this might work. I would consider our current map to be 1 region.

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful."
