Addicting as Kenshi may allready be, this forum features tons of great ideas and i don't envy the developer's job to select and implement. but i couldn't be a successful bandit leader if i called mercy one of my character traits so here i am, stating something i don't recolect having read of thus far.

There are lots of suggestions regarding the training of your fellow bushi, one of which picked my interest:
Kendo for training http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =16&t=3707

But i think Dojo's could/should not only be amongst the buildings you can add to your base, there should be some in the world, e.g. the cities, where sword masters (or masters of yet to be implemented weapons) should reside. While they could provide you with training (to improve stats) the real idea should be that they can teach you "styles".
Lets say you encounter the Dojo of a famous Katana-Light Master, then he could teach you his fighting style, beginning with a certain stance and corresponding attacks/attack patterns/ combos and maybe making use of the Attack/Defense Bonus system implemented für Weapons (im thinking of the Attack +x Def -y thingy). It might be impossible to implement, but when you mastered several styles, you could even invent (and teach to your men successively - even allies and neutrals could seek you out to learn your style ... and pay good money for it).

i guess the hardest part would be to create and implement the Animations to achieve a variety of these stances/moves/combos, seeing that it would be necessary for every weapon type. thus said it might be possible to implement a tool, so that the modding community could contribute.

just my two cents.

P.S.: similarily there might be famous military leaders, that you could learn the often asked for formations and group-manoeuvres from. if ranged or staff weapons are implemented, you could even learn mixed weapon group tactics.

A similar thread that talks about dojos in towns. if you look around the forum it constantly comes up that combat animations are apparently hard to come by so the stances and stuff wouldn't be a visual thing but a stat change if they ever come in.
