It seems like with the new update, bleeding is now a very minor threat, with characters recovering from bleeding during fights. Instead of passing out from blood loss, characters pass out from stomach/chest/head damage. However, with the unconsciousness from blood loss, the characters could just get back up when blood had recovered, then fix up their body and leave. Now, with the vital damage unconsciousness there are piles of unconscious bodies wherever a battle has occurred. These bodies just stay there since they can't bleed to death and no allies are around to patch them up (in one of my games, Clownsteady has an ever growing pile of Cannibal bodies stuck between life and death). Most annoyingly, when my player character is knocked unconscious, they can't get back up because of vital area damage (rather than the blood loss of before) and patrols that don't stop by to help out.

Could this, in any way, be related to the bleed multipliers of weapons and/or NPC squad persistence?

I too noticed this I haven't played since before the sound patch, and I remember bleeding being a real threat, just like patching up a bounty was mandatory so they wouldn't die on the way to the police station. I kind of miss it especialy with the number of picked clean people there are in my games. I will strip just about any SOB that has something of value down to their underwear, but now I got worry about guys on patrol with no gear, or bandits running scared draging patrols all over the desert becuase I looted their sword.

We need blood less revamped or a finisher move maybe. Some of them do despawn while out cold but some also especially not near a city simply get back up and limp around naked, taking up space for a fresh bandit. I saw the canibals with med kits, they could patch their meals up, or simply use low bleed weapons, but its a little weird when a sand ninja leader with a amazing cutting sword doesn't spill half my blood in a long fight., or that I don't bleed out after he guts my stomach and I lay on the ground for 2 hours.

And a gheto not great fix, pick them up and drop them down away from guards, they won't get up with the gaurds nearby, this still leaves them wasting pop space while naked, but gets them out of the towns dirt nap garden.

I haven't actually fought much since the update but through all the fights I have been in usually around half the enemies bleed to death sometime not long after the fight. I haven't noticed myself bleeding any more or less when I get hit but I didn't really have to watch it before so I probably wouldn't notice. But oh what I would give for a kill unconscious target action.

The lack of death seems to be keeping the desert quite empty because nothing dies nothing has a chance to respawn.

Also cannibals, some one on steam forums did an experiment took 10 men and tried to defeat a cannibal camp. During his mens captivity he pointed out there were lines of cannibals waiting for jail cells for their food, they also killed a chunk of his squad, and some npcs so they do eat them, but they are picking the desert clean. And the no death in combat, plus cannibals picking up anyone they find in the open not to mention wounded limping around solo, it is really hurt the pop.

Due to the bleeding change since .58, this causes cannibals and other NPC's to spawn in the ground when loading saved games. They are alive, but can't move. I agree the bleeding needs to go back to how it was or changed so people can actually die again.

bleeding is still a issue but death has been fixed. and its not super fast like it was last time.

the spawned NPC's in the ground are all passed out, and usually about to die. you can pick them up and drop them, it does fix it until you see it again in the next group.

I know this was a loooong time ago, but I'd like to bring back the point of a "finisher" option, along with maybe a body-disposal method (bonfire?). I'd prefer that the unconscious bandits did not get in the middle of my camp from the inside as they happen to wake up.
