Ashigaru-A stylistic suggestion

I think it's unrealistic to have Samurai Patrols per se. I believe that the patrols for the Samurai Faction should be comprised of several Ashigaru(Trained peasant soldiers as opposed to current designation of Samurai) and one Samurai(As opposed to a Samurai Lord). Not much would change for them except that the Ashigaru should wear Jingasa (Think a darker version of the straw hat). That way, the Samurai would stand out more (Since they wear the Samurai Helmet) and you fix the logic issue of having large numbers of the noble warrior class out on patrol. Instead, you get some trained soldiers on patrol being led by a noble. (Also, the Lords of the Samurai Faction should really only fight in war parties)

The Ashigaru would be armed with the Katana-light versions. The Samurai, in contrast, would be equipped with the standard Katana variant. Maybe have Lords wield Nodachis? (Katana-extended) Though again I'm assuming that Lords will NOT be in standard patrols and only be in War Parties when that sort of feature is implemented.

Ashigaru were armed with spears (I think this weapon will be implemented), swords, bows and tanegashima (don't ask for it because fire weapons will not exist in kenshi) so the weapon won't be a problem.....the problem is the clothing (shirt, pants, shoes)

I feel clothing wouldn't be too much of a problem. Have them wear a Jingasa(Small Black Rice Hat looking helmet), Samurai Armor(Preferably without shoulder pads), Samurai Clothpants(Unarmored Version), Samurai Boots, and maybe some sort of cloth undershirt. I think it'd be better to reserve that awesome Samurai Helmet for well...Samurai...
Anyways, this Shogun 2 Picture is a basic example of what I'm going for. As I lack the skills to draw something more fitting.

I think this would be a very good idea to implement Ashigaru into the Samurai Faction as suggested. It would work really well if implemented correctly and would make the game look a little better. Because when samurai did patrols they wouldn't send a large group of themselves off putting a large amount of their number at risk while leaving there base with that much fewer well trained soldiers. Providing they had a large number of Ashigaru at their disposal. Even more for the Samurai Lords wouldn't want to leave their castles or bases if it something as trivial as a basic patrol.

Anyway those are some of my thoughts on why this would be a great idea.
