Random crash V0.60.0
I have tested the populations in increments of .05 from .25 up to 1.25... it got a little crazy at that point and it didn't help anything... crashed at the same random intervals either way.
As far as mods... don't use them. Except for back when I used to raid on WoW... they required you to have a few mods to be considered for a raiding spot usually. Don't agree with them though... I like to play as the artist/creators intended. If they wanted those features to be there they would implement them.

I have no idea what happened to me either. Last thing I remember that I was manually sorting my weapons rack since my weapon smithies won't automatically go to a weapon rack with available space. Then suddenly, one of my smithies went to another outpost IV building, which I designated as a "priority weapon builder, then tried to get back to work. Boom. Crash. Oh, and there was a caravan trader group that was about to make a purchase at my store(s).
Here the crash dump.

started out on default sliders, and have adjusted them many times.Tolwrath wrote:Question for all of you. What settings do you have the population and squad size sliders on? Are any of you also using the larger group combat mod?
i have played with and without my Mod a few times.
I don't crash that often either way but that might be because i am only using 1 character to play with at this time.
i usually crash suddenly after 4 or 5 hours of game play. with or without my Mod or adjusting the sliders.
Visual settings are set at default.

I have had the crashes on Larger squad settings, and on the default squad settings. No mods are installed.Tolwrath wrote:Question for all of you. What settings do you have the population and squad size sliders on? Are any of you also using the larger group combat mod?

Currently, i have my entire squad building a large outpost on my new base. This seems to cause it to crash like crazy whenever they try to add materials.

Same here, crashing two or three times an hour. This has been happening in all the versions since at least 3 months. I have all the debug options enabled such as Force Single Threading. However, the crash dumps are only produced when I disable Single Threading -- that's how I was able to get the attached dump.

Well I might have found a fix for some people I'm not sure if it will work for everyone but I used steam Verify Integrity and once it finish it replaced 3 files and it working fine for me I'm not sure if steam update didn't correctly install the files but I would give it a try if you haven't done so.

Does this mean that verifying integrity solves the random crashes?Hatsune_Neko wrote:yepThuff wrote:Well I might have found a fix for some people I'm not sure if it will work for everyone but I used steam Verify Integrity and once it finish it replaced 3 files and it working fine for me I'm not sure if steam update didn't correctly install the files but I would give it a try if you haven't done so.

no
it dont fix the random crashes
they still happen.
validating your game cache fixes files that were damaged due to the crash.
