So, I was just observing my town, watching my guys doing whatever tasks it was I had them doing, collecting all the made / gathered resources on 1 guy (rum, bread, steel bars) about to go and transport it to sell. When in the bottom right of my laptop a message pops up saying something a long the lines of "AMD Graphics Driver has stopped working but has managed to recover." "Kenshi has been prohibited from using graphics drivers." I tried a few more times to run the game, it crashed twice (minor crashes where it was just the game) tried a third time and my entire computer locked up and I had to hard reset. I haven't tried opening it up again because I'm worried it's going to damage my computer if it hasn't already.

Okay, if that crash has seriously damaged my graphics drivers I am going to be incredibly p***ed. I am now getting the same issue playing another game. An issue which I NEVER had before your game crashed my computer.

Are you on a laptop? There's been issues with mobility drivers in the past, but that was for older Intel Mobile Chipsets.
Try updating your video drivers and get MSI Afterburner to make sure your GPU isn't overheating.

Why would it be overheating? I've never had this issue before, I was playing Kenshi fine just last night, no issues whatsoever, Kenshi isn't even that demanding of my laptops settings compared to other games I've run on this.

Its just a thought. Anything can overheat if the right amount of dust gets in the right spot.

from what i have been able to research.
AMD seems to have a habit of crashing.

The one thing i have seen over and over again is
Dont overclock it, it causes the graphics driver to crash often. Set it back to normal
Re install your graphics drivers and make sure they are up to date.
you might have corrupted driver files and maybe even corrupted registry files in your Windows OS

What you should try and do is completely uninstall your AMD graphics drivers, then download a program called CCleaner and run its registry cleaner tool to remove any bad entries, then install the latest stable version of AMD drivers

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Current computer specs.
AMD FX-8150 - Eight Core, 3.60GHz
NVidia GTX 1050TI
24GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz Ram
