The thought of a second programmer and an artist to satisfy Chris' vision popped into my mind while reading this artice about the Indie Royale bundles, with this paragraph being the culprit.
NA: The Alpha Fund bundle looks like it will contain a select few titles previously featured for funding on Desura. Are we correct in the assumption that the Desura connection will influence later bundles?
Mike: No, the Desura connection won’t affect bundles. We add each game to Desura as we sign it up for a bundle, and it sits in the Desura backend waiting to be set free. Just because a game is on Desura, doesn’t mean it has a better chance of being in a bundle.
And Ars Technica did give an example of how lower prices meant more sales(sure they were talking about Steam sales but can you give a cheaper price than an indie game bundle?)
Er... maybe the point of this topic is that it could be worth a shot to ask for Kenshi's inclusion in the alpha bundle? Kenshi has by far the most polished alpha build(not trying to jinx it
) even if some quirky bugs or the rarely occuring random crashes do pop up.NA: In the larger scheme, what benefits are you trying to bring to developers with Indie Royale?
Mike: The benefits are simple really – developers involved get massive exposure for their game, and will hopefully pick up followers for their future games too. Oh, and they make a tidy bit of money too, of course!
