I was talking about realistic passing of time, but breaking and degrading of weapon and armour will be great too.
Not sure about shields, coz as far as i know, samurai didn't used them.

Samurai usualy did not use shields that I know of. But even in the time of a Samurai there were wariors that used them. I do not remember seen a Samurai use a plank or a fragmented axe either. But when I said 2 weapons I did not mean as in 2 diffrunt kind but as in duel welding for those that use the smaller sword types.
Ok I spelled it wrong but I guess you are a little anal about spelling if that is all you seen. I mean I did say what I ment by it. But actualy now that you brought it up would be nice to be able to train are men by letting them duel one another instead of using the dummies or finding bandeds to jail then beat up.

Good idea. Duelling effectiveness would be determined by level difference. More gap between levels and your solder will train faster. And equal levels should result in very slow learning (make it slightly more realistic, so that people can't learn something new from same level).
Also, special moves obtained from levelling up (each 10th level), books or teachers, which would be not a very overpowering techniques but result in more combat variety.

I think it would be cool if some skills you can not simply teach or find in a book. But they pick up on through just fighting or seen in some form. An then they can teach those skills to each other. Might even make it were each faction has a certian technique that only they know and to learn it you either join them or kill enough of them to learn it through combat. Now that would give it a fill of reality.
But as for the dueling part were you said weaker against stronger. In real life the weaker would not learn much except for maybe how to dodge more. As for equal strength you would learn to be a better fighter. For you both would have equal cabilities both attack and defend. So there for you would have to try harder to defend there attacks and to get past there defence.
I only corrected your spelling. If you're going to request a feature, show that you care about it by at least checking the spelling. If I didn't like your idea, I would have argued against it. And if I were being anal, I would have linked you the dozen or so existing feature request threads asking for the same thing.Seimears wrote:Ok I spelled it wrong but I guess you are a little anal about spelling if that is all you seen. search is always your best friend.
that way we don't hound you to do it

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.

Well I thought this was the place were we are asked what we wanted. An if there are more then one person saying the same thing about what they wanted then Chris will see that it is not just one person but a majority. An there for would be a liked feature of the game.
An as for Tolwrath my bad I was not in the best place when I read your correction. An you are right with your responce.

In my opinion, this thread should be dead and another should take its place with an updated poll since this is almost 3 years old now.
There are votes for McCain still lingering around is how old this is. xD (American political humor)

yea but what would it contain?
right now wouldn't know what to put in it since we now have the roadmap, so can see what's coming up next.
Course could just create a new topic and let people babble about ideas and not have it a poll question.

One thing I really wish we had was a check box on our squad in their AI setup to tell them to either "work their jobs" or "ignore their jobs" this way I do not have to remove all their jobs setup when we go out on expeditions. I can simple\y turn off the job processing and they will quit trying to run back to base and operate the loom... saving me the hassle of removing all jobs then recreating them when the expedition is over.
Fumikomi & Kamae: Like the Yin and Yang create a symbiosis. One is not superior to the other, they are two parts of a whole.
+1 this. Seems the easiest method to handle this situation.Tarragon Rill wrote:One thing I really wish we had was a check box on our squad in their AI setup to tell them to either "work their jobs" or "ignore their jobs" this way I do not have to remove all their jobs setup when we go out on expeditions. Would be nice also to be able to make them stand there ground or what ever. I know there is a non combat button but also a combat button would be nice. I have seen my men let the bandits jut run by and they were not set on non combat or block only.
I have seen this before, but the bandits are either Retreating Fast or Cannibals are being Medics for the others that are down.Seimears wrote:Would be nice also to be able to make them stand there ground or what ever. The latter of these two should prompt an aggressive stance, in my mind, since chars are attacked for attempting to rescue friendlies. Then again, this logic could also be used for Retreating enemies except that the Chase option would decide if the char would pursue Retreating hostiles as opposed to the Non-Combat option.
Yeah you have to tell your men to attack them. I would think any one near them should be taken out on the spot. Also I have had my men in one spot trian to ket ready to attack the canabel village. An some will run in because some of them got in there sight. Just would like more control on there formation and how they move in formation or out on there own.
I made a Feature Request after seeing a post about an AI Behavior Panel from two years ago.Seimears wrote:Yeah you have to tell your men to attack them. See if its something that might allow you to have that amount of control.
