So I happened to notice that immediately prior to the release of these awesome new walls, ramps, and gates, that it was possible to build ramps on any point along the old Defensive Walls, as opposed to these ramps "snapping" to the center of each wall segment.
With the return of this "snapping", I've also noticed that the new Defensive Walls have are lacking guard rails in the center of the 5 portions to accommodate the possibility of a Ramp connecting to there.
With all of this information in mind, my request is that the Defensive Walls have guard rails along all 5 "portions" of the interior, and allow a Ramp to snap to any of the 5 points as opposed to just the center point.
Whenever a Ramp is built at one of these points, the guard rail at that point would then change to some kind of small gate, which would give those manning the walls slight protection from invaders that have already breached another part of the base.
Regarding the 0.65 Ramps and Walls
This is kinda happening already with the outside 2 of the 5 segments of guard rails, although the way the walls are snapping together still leaves just enough room to walk between wall segments so long as the corner isn't too sharp.Tolwrath wrote:Couldn't having guard rails on the inside edges of the walls make it more difficult to have people walking across the walls if there are curves? The guard rails would cut into the space where curved walls intersect, and block the path.
I've also noticed in some occasional, but somewhat rare, incidents when attaching a string of walls to an already constructed wall will disallow any movement between the beginning of the placed string and the already constructed wall.
It appears that the connection between the two segments isn't level enough (i.e. one is a higher altitude than the other).
