+1 to other biomes, factions, and generally multiple varieties of structures.

I can imagine villages built high in the canopy of trees, underground (dwarven) caverns, seaside shanties, and solid marble palaces.

Tons of different races would be awesome. Even adding new ones as time goes on after all the major stuff is in place. I tend to like playing the less human races in games. Just because it's something different.

Oh though I would love to have a whole clan and if it were wiped out and just the one guy was left he could live in a lone house by the sea. Wooden in frame with boats and a small dock by the shore for fishing... then out of retirement!

I think strangely. A game like this can entertain me for ages when it's completed. The freedom allows me to enact stories for my characters... if they survive of course...

I'm anticipating new biomes and races. As well as any buildings that more suit the environment they're in. Would be awesome.

Would be awsome if some races unlike the humans that can be trained up to do diffrunt skills. But instead sertian races more suited for just one skill set. Though can be trained up for others but would take a lot and I mean a lot of hard work.

You know like I am seen a lizard skin like race that comes from the swamp area very strong very fast. But not the smartest race you can find. Though would make a great fighting class squad mate. Would make a terrible engineer or scientist or even a crafter. That way even if you wanted to start out with just one race you would have to end up adding others from other races to join ur squad or you would not get far in the game. Another race could come from the mountains great crafters great miners and engineers. But to slow to do any good as a warrior and to slow minded to even be a good scientist. So again you would not be able to use this race only in your squad and if you did it would take a lot of work.

Hm... imagine being able to choose the personality of the character. I mean I know stats is a can't do in this game since it's basically working from the bottom up but characteristics from their past to mod out your character. Make a member of a race that isn't usually good at something better at it whilst also decreasing their how easily they increase one of their other abilities...

And as for what races should go into it I'd love to see a lizard person. Hard to animate I'm guessing but would be nonetheless interesting. Possibly something to be released later. I don't know what other races should be added but none human would be interesting.

Yes even better yet when the other skills are added. Can add races that are hard to find but so skill exacted that they will be well sought after. Like one race that make unbelievably awsome assasines fast and qwite you know like a ghost in the night kind of race. An even some that are awsome at hand to hand but give them a weapon and you might as well just take them out back and beat them to death.

It would add a diffrunt aspect to the game in how and who you put in your squad. An for what reason you recruit them. I mean like the human race you can easily recruit them and train them up for any skill. But need an engineer and you go and hire a lizard man that is only good for fighting. Well looks like you screwed urself there. Also should make them more expensive then the usual low brow guys you spend 700 for.

I think it would add a diffrunt look to the game. Also a diffrunt form of sand box. Just because the race is made to be just scientists does not mean you can not train them until they are a warior class. Hell can even make it a bonuse to do so. Because they are so smart they are able to out think any oponunt they go against. There for once they have the strength and learned how to use the weapon they will out fight any one they come against. Just the time it will take to get them trained up is something of a massive time frame and a lot of work.

I will need to check this interview!

Did he say at all what he was planning on adding? Or is he keeping us in anticipation of it all? Gah! It's so hard waiting for such cool things. Either way though this game promises to be my favourite when everything's done... I don't actually believe I've ever seen a game like it.

Which worries me as well as it impresses me.

So he's planning on adding other races. I want to know how far he'll go with it and what races he'll be adding but that's likely not to happen for a while yet. As the title says this is more on the further in the future stuff. When he's got down the bulk of the game.

What I'm thinking is that if its possible to create 3D models for weapons and armour, then perhaps it would be possible to create 3D models for races/chars to add through modding, perhaps?

good luck
i only heard hints of other races, no actual names for them. So you will have to wait like the rest of us.

When new races are added I would really like to see a guerrilla combat suited race that is bad at building and technology but is very dexterous and fast and skilled with basic weapons. I think that maybe a human-fish race would be fairly unique and fun as a race that is amphibious but needs a close water source (Excluding a well) to survive for it to wallow in and regenerate and needs a more desperate need for water at all times, this would add tactical building in a sense in regards to survival. I suppose that it could have advantages like better toughness because it has scales and stuff but yeah that's just an idea.

I'm alright waiting. I've waited this long after all I can wait another... couple years or so... I'm actually quite patient just very curious. So I had to at least ask. Heh. ^^;

I am looking forward to it all though. To see where Kenshi gets. Different building styles for races would be cool as well. And for different locations. Maybe some ancient ruins in a swamp... that would be cool.

You mean like a building that has a pool in it. If you are in the desert you have to use the wells to fill it. Ofcourse if you are in the desert in time it dries out so you are always going to have to make sure it has water in it for the fish people.

Then for fish people they'd be stationed in more damp areas with plenty of fresh water. Or you could get them enviro-suits. That would be awesome... but it would limit their dexterity on land... wouldn't be as flexible...

What if they wore barrels on their back packed full of water for an improvised envirosuit?

I think a regional limitation of were they are or were they go would be better off. Atleast until you train some skill up that lets them be with out water for longer points in time.

I'm somewhat sure that was a monster from that film... though I could be wrong. I'm not very good with films that far back. But a swamp race would be nice... hidden secrets would also be excellent... maybe a species of desert lizardmen. Could be useful and somewhat dangerous if not on your team.

I'll be honest though if a bandit attacks me and I knock him unconscious but mend their wounds and even take them back to my base I'd hope they at least showed some appreciation... did that once... it didn't end well.
