Second crash:
"Super crash! failed to write the crash dump, error code is: A device attached to the system is not functioning."
Was in the first town I encountered after leaving the beginning town, preparing to attack a bandit boss that had attracted the attention of the samurai guards. Game just went completely unresponsive.
Have had trouble closing the crashed game. Had to close the pop up message about the super crash instead. After forcing it to close, it generated a CrashDump file.

If your crashes are seeming to occur at random times, open up your Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc and monitor the Memory Usage amount used by kenshi_Steam.exe.
If the crash occurs when this number is ~3.6 GB, then this is likely the memory leak super crash that is currently being fixed with each patch.
If the crash occurs when this number is ~3.6 GB, then this is likely the memory leak super crash that is currently being fixed with each patch.
Thanks. I've had Task Manager open most of the time and memory usage has hovered between 1.6 and 1.7 GB, but I'll keep an eye out for that.
Just had a new crash, that coincided with terrain loading as I was walking back to the beginning town. Memory usage was 1.679 GB.
Even with all the crashes, this is still a pretty nifty game. Looking forward to seeing it develop out of alpha.

New crash
Before the game went totally unresponsive, it said, "Warning: Save Error" or something to that effect.
I was waking up injured members of my party from sleep in a flop house and saving, about to reload to try to get the party members to fully heal instead of having an attribute stuck at 99%.
I've used some Steam Community advice to adjust my settings and apart from the save error crash the game has been running much more smoothly.

Crashed while working on a building. Multiple issues.
I started my first building, a simple shack.
Dust bandits came up, paid them off.
Then as I continued building, a crowd of Hungry Bandits came up and just stood around on the foundation. No dialogue options, but they didn't attack me either.
I had two party members with the Building Materials for the project. Only one of the actually added their materials to the frame, the other kept them in the inventory and started working on the project. From what I read on the wiki, multiple members should be able to contribute and I can't make any contributions past the first to get the project started. As I was trying to get all this sorted out, it crashed.

Same error message as previous post, came after a "Warning: Save Error!" while it was trying to autosave while I was building a small research bench in my small shack. That's it for tonight.

Major increase in frequency of crashes. Can't even play for 3 consecutive minutes. Started building in outpost: completely walled in, with layered defensive gates, a small shack, 3 mark2 crossbows, 4 generators, 1 small shack, 1 building materials storage, 1 stone storage, 1 stone processor, 1 stone mine IV. Attempting to send two party members back to Brink for more building materials. Can't get much farther than a couple dozen meters past the first gate before it crashes.
