Oh oh, I got one too! How about "Download more RAM?" Or maybe "Set your headphones for widescreen mode?" See, I'm in on the joke! "Rebuild your navmesh" has become such a knee-jerk answer to literally every problem that it's become a comedy meme just for this game. I get it, it's funny!Hatsune_Neko wrote:rebuild your navmesh

Add my crash dump to the long list of "crashed while walking around" that I've submitted. I think this bug is, what, five patches old now? Six? I've lost count. Let me know when the next patch is out so I can upload another crashdump for this exact same problem. Weeee!

because it usually works most of the time and does fix most the issues people have. and depending on the version 69.2 ( works about 50% of the time ) and 72.1 ( works about 98% of the time.) for the walls issue and pathing which affects nearly everything.
and since the OP is using the experimental the pathing rebuild should have worked.
other options are toLaimar wrote:Thx but it doesnt works really.
Import into a new game with tech and buildings. then rebuild your navmesh. save your game then exit, then load your save like normal.
You can rebuild your navmesh again if need be. but walls are known to cause the worst issues with pathing at the moment on either version.

Units running through walls is an issue with collisions which is tied to the navmesh. Redrawing it is the ONLY solution to the problem. It is not made up nor a generic response. That is what it is there for... Hatsune was responding to the comment about units walking through walls, so you can stop your airheadedness.NephilimNexus wrote:Oh oh, I got one too! If rebuilding the navmesh doesn't work, you may be having the same problem i had for a while and need to revalidate your game files (they don't seem to update appropriately sometimes through normal updates). For me, that solved the issue of the navmesh not rebuilding. Additionally, with larger bases it will take a few redraws, as it seems to only get a few of them the first time around. Kinda weird that way, so do it twice and it should solve the issue.

As one of those people for whom this doesn't help (even on 72.1), I think it comes down buildings/walls where you used the {page up/down} keys to change the default height. I think this because I like to maximize the tallness of my things and the ground isn't properly connecting with the ramps. My people are going under my buildings rather than walking into them. I think they are going under my walls too.
The moment I fix my navmesh, They start observing some of my walls at least, but one my outpost buildings(that has all my important stuff) becomes totally inaccessible(and if anyone was inside they are stuck/non-rescuable).
Also I have a bar in Black Scratch that is inaccessible (NPCs are also crowding outside on the ramp) but I haven't tried to navmesh rebuild while in town (which I thought you shouldn't have to do).
I might try the revalidate thing in Steam. Short of that I think I'll just start a new game without importing my buildings. My base could be put together better anyhow.
