ok i want to have people come live or trade at my town. the thing is how do i do that! plz help

Though i have only heard of one instance where they actually came by. so not sure if its working at all. for one i have never seen them come to my town.... yet....

Populating your town is going to require you to recruit, or at least at this point it works that way. Not that money is a problem once you get a decent town going. Lots of options there, but that's neither here nor there. There may be some future implementation of the better your city is drawing non-recruited inhabitants, but I've read nothing regarding anything like that, and don't see that as happening in the near future if that is the plan.

As far as trading goes, I've heard that trade caravans will come to outposts that are on their way from town to town, but as of yet they only buy water, bread and rum (or so I've read, as I have yet to have that happen to my town). My town is pretty close to trader's edge, but I've never seen a caravan go up that mountain or down in the valley my town is in, so it's possible that caravans simply don't pass that way, or it could be I don't have my shop set up properly, which would hardly be surprising, but either way, I've yet to SEE it happen, but others HAVE mentioned on the forums the same information I just stated above.

Hopefully this helps you with whatever you're planning, but if you do happen to get a caravan to come trade with you, please post, I'd like to know what you did and how it worked for you.
