It would be nice if when you imported a game you could give us the option to reset the factions relationships to us to a default setting.

At least until we can start using diplomacy to fix relations in the game.

nice idea but i don't think that's what the import feature is for.

Think it's meant only for game updates and giving the game a way to refresh everything and add in the new features.

Think if you want to reset diplomacy, starting a new game would be the only way.
Because if you use the import feature to reset relations, there would be no consequences if you started a war against everyone. because you could simply reset relations after you did your thing.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

True, it could be used that way. But honestly if they do who cares? It's a single player game. If they want to do something lame like that it's not going to hurt my game.

I would agree that once the relations options are fixed and you can pay a fine or a bribe or in some other way improve your standing with a faction that it would not be needed.

But currently the faction relations system is not working. You can't restore relations once they start to go bad. And during a brawl with bandits it's very common for police to start attacking everyone because of some unknown slight. Once they do attack you there is no way to stop them other then beat them down, and since they don't stay down you have to do it over and over and over again even if you are trying to retreat from a battle. At which point your relations with them are soo far damaged that you can never enter a town with police in it again.

Since we don't know how long it will be before that issue is addressed. It would be nice to have an option till then.

Well the other purpose is to generally reset the world. If people want to be cheap like that, let them. In general let people play the game how they want to play it... they bought the game so it is their right to choose.

Now as numerous posts on the forum point out, you can become hostile to other factions now for silly/unknown reasons. It may not have actually been your choice. It could in some cases even be the result of a bug. So I don't think having a way to reset faction relations to default is unreasonable during import.

One would have to consider that after the diplomacy has been developed better, that such an option will also wipe out any positive progress you may have made with a faction as well. Not all players(especially new players) will understand what consequences their actions may have until it is too late. Even after the diplomacy is further along, having an option like this wouldn't be a terrible idea. I won't likely ever use it, but others may find it essential.
