Requesting option to disable hunger/thirst
I feel that if you guys put an option to have bandits loot you or not, and easier prospecting you should have an option to enable/disable hunger/thirst. I personally don't like all that micro management I want to explore without having to worry about if I'm dying of hunger or thirst, when there are plenty of other things out there to kill me.
I never understood why people take such strong issue with option. You don't have to use it if you don't like it.
That being said, I'm assuming they will add options for your people to grab food themselves when they need it if there is extra available. If so, then it will be much less tedious than it is now.

because some people like to play a certain way. I for one don't care for too much micromanagement with games like this.BoogieMan wrote:I never understood why people take such strong issue with option. You don't have to use it if you don't like it.

I'm no casual player. But I do have a specific playstyle that I play with games like this. And I like the option if I decide one day for an extra challenge. I don't see the problem adding it, it doesn't harm players who want that extra challenge. And to other players like myself, we get the option to turn it off and have one less thing to manage it's a win for all.Adys wrote:now it''s only hunger... but someday they add Thirst

death is a good punishment for casual players

does not see having a option to turn on and off hunger and thirst forthcoming.
mostly because of the amount of food you can make to stay alive. it is now part of the base game play.
this is just the first part to the new system and it will be refined so its not as tedious as it is now.
For now you can look up Mods that adjust the amount of food required to stay alive as they slow down the need to eat.

Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

Moreover, according to what the moderator above posted elsewhere (Hatsune_Neko), she does not speak for or have any inside knowledge of the game development. She literally has no idea if it's "part of the base game" now or not.

Why do i think its part of the base game now?
We have goddess amount of food recipes. stores stocked with it.
Some NPCS that require it. Settlements built for selling and making food.
Wildlife made just to harass your food crops.
And cant forget, this is also a survival game. another reason why i think its part of the base of the game.
So yea, that's why i think its part of the base game. if at most i see the Dev adding in a slider to adjust food consumption rate's which i am all for.

Thank you for pointing out that out. i should not have said "it is now" i should have said its is "most likely"Athenian wrote:Moreover, according to what the moderator above posted elsewhere (Hatsune_Neko), she does not speak for or have any inside knowledge of the game development. Well I do hope the devs consider it. I like this game, I play it but as I stated I'm not into massive micromanagement and right now the game has so many micromanagement elements in it, it's hard for me to play it without dying or getting robbed or going hungry because some of the mechanics changed and I'm having a hard time growing food starting out.

There is absolutely no need for the developers to add tons of little options for this sort of thing, adding an option requires support down the line and maintance and all these other problems. But the main reason is that its so easy to make a mod to do it so the devs aren't needed for this option.
It's not a mod i'll ever use or even load up once myself because removing a brand new feature doesnt appeal to me, but i spent two minutes making a mod that disables hunger since it's so easy to do, here you go. you may want to make sure all your people's hunger is in the green before applying the mod in the launcher.
