I like it. Good work for early game. It will let you earn money and build up a couple of skills for later use. On top of that you're in relative safety on the farm.Berzerker Jay wrote:I'd really like a more story-driven, dialogue-based way to work on the farms. Maybe the produce could be traded into the store at a marked-down price and if a player leaves the outpost zone for the Holy Farms with the produce it will be marked stolen. Just some thoughts.
Right now though you can manually make your character water, work and wait for a crop to grow then take the goods out yourself. (Unless the AI thinks your stealing. I can get away with it but other people say they're attacked doing so.)

Have you tested this? For some reason I'm not able to get any such options. I can't assign any jobs relating to the crops at Holy Farms. I've tested the ones east of Blister Hill and south. I believe I also tried another. Nothing seems to give any options on a couple different games.
Any tips on what I might be doing wrong?

You basically need to "pirate" the farm. Some farms have buildings you can buy and setup your homestead. But you need to sneak some of the produce away from the current farmers fields.
If you get spotted by anyone they will get mad.
The only one that I tried this with was south of Blister Hill along the road. Farmer and his family stayed inside and I was able to harvest crops by left clicking on the fields and manually putting water in and then after the harvest manually taking the yield. Do most of this work at night.
I was also able to use their campfire. until passing patrols attacked me for stealing my own meat.

Was this in a much earlier version?
I spent the entire night working a cotton field until it maxed out, and I still had no right-click options with the field. My character would work the field if I only right-clicked and didn't hold it, but then I just watch a worker come in the morning and haul it away.
Same farm, south of Blister Hill. What am I doing wrong? lol

That's just it. Right click hold, and select "Loot". Neither right clicking nor left clicking will open up the looting box, but right click holding and looting will.Berzerker Jay wrote:Was this in a much earlier version?
