Game allows "talk to" when squad in prison pole

I made one of my own squad mates get in a fogman prison pole. I was selecting other members to picklock the prison and instead I clicked "talk to" because I was curious. He started up his basic recruit in a tavern talk about needing money to survive if I leave him stranded. My squad is full, and he noted that after I payed him again, so sadly I didn't get to recruit him.

i have encountered this too but i get the trade "talk" when i hit trade nothing happends.
