I miss a lot of what characters are saying since I play on faster game speed a lot of times, like when traveling or building. It would be nice if the chatter stayed on the screen the same time no matter what game speed you currently have.

I would like to see a scrollable log of character comments.
lots of times those messages or comments get lost, a little scrollable log that you could go back and review them would be nice.

I'd call it a bad move. I never really used those back in FO, and i found it extremely idiotic, uncomfortable and unnecesarry in Wasteland2. Can't see a problem in a first place here, as well, just pause the game, read what you want, and move on, wtf?

The log could be another window with the squad, tech, faction, crafting etc. That way it would not clutter up the screen or be in the way for people who don't wish it to be, and would be easily accessible for those who feel like they missed something they wanted to read.
