Old map on newer versions?

Is it possible to play in the old map with the newer versions of the game? Anyone know how it may be done?

the old map is just that, the old map. it was meant as a place holder only.

Which is, i think, a huge shame, by the way. Due all these years sand has become a Kenshi's signature to me

Would like to see a (possibly reworked) version of an old map as a part of the new one.

there is a desert area on the map. which most likely will be some what similar to the old map.
