I know this is not going to be popular, but I have noticed that the bandits are just too nice.
If they win a fight they too often just walk away. I was thinking that there should be a setting to allow them to loot more often. (maybe there is)

I think if they win the fight they should take at least something. I mean they are bandits.

They actually seem to take much less than they used to. I remember one time getting knocked out and losing all my food and medkits to a bandit, plus an Edgewalker sword. These days, they might take my food, and I've never seen them take a weapon recently.

I agree, I think they should do exactly what we generally would do. Take everything of any value and leave us practically naked.

Otherwise, I kind of feel like an arse, beating them up and taking their pitiful belongings.

Also, perhaps we would think more about getting into a risky battle, if the prospect of losing everything we had on us was a possibility.

Furthermore, imagine the excitement of getting beat up losing most of your stuff, and than trying to track down those bandits to get it back. Good game times.

Also it would make the option to talk your way out and give up only half your stuff more attractive.
Like give gold to the Dustys, and food to the Hungrys.

On the other side of this, I wish looters would respect faction relations.
It's really a bummer when I have people down or sleeping and neutral forces come in and start to loot them.
Mainly the escaped servants. The only option I have to stop them is to attack them, which I don't want to do as I want to make them allies and lead them in a massive revolt against the holy nation.

But it would be nice if my friends would not loot my sleeping partners. Now hostile bandits, they should have cart blanch to do as they do.

This bears repeating. As it stands, there is no punishment for losing unless it's to cannibals. Most enemies might not be inclined to entirely strip you naked but should at least pocket more valuables. I'm hoping this is a transitory state while relevant parts of the game are being ironed out.

That's interesting. What enemies and what version was that? I loaded up some saves near dust bandits and ninjas but all they cared for was a few scraps of food if they looted some of my characters at all.

Unless it was quite a few versions ago, it sounds like the AI can jump from one extreme to another.

And there's a tower of ninjas in the same mountains near the Dust King tower.

If two different groups of mentally challenged bandits came up to it while I was there, I'm sure you can find the way.

To be fair, it used to be impossible to reach. Though it has been quite a while since it was fixed.

well to be fair.

I can see reason in them not taking 'everything' . unlike us they don't assume they'll survive not being able to run fast. an there strength doesn't seem to grow as fast.

and that is ...they have to worry about going to slow. they aren't as confident as we are that someone might rescue our downed character(most likely our last standing char).

now i'm not saying they shouldn't take valuable items but they should reflect the thought of how fast they can move with the stuff they're taking.

I think bandits should take more than just your food. I can understand why hungry bandits will take just that but Dust bandits....come on. My guys had better swords than one pack of Dusters we got KO'd, but not before leisurely dropped all my food on the ground. Stupid AI checked our bodies, didn't take anything from us and didn't touch the food which was RIGHT ( Edited for content)THERE next to us. I like the idea of the game. But right now I don't feel challenged at all. I don't care if I ll venture somewhere where I ll get beat up. Big deal, my gear will be on me when I wake up. Please make those bandits act like BANDITS, not like lemurs out to get your cookie.
