was doing a quick inspection of my base when my turret gunners reported contacted so I thought "river raptors at the door again" and thought nothing of it again for a bit but then I decide to send a couple people to go skin them and found this...

Okay with 10 different games going I was not really going to post one here, but with the new Shek towns I now have a Shek paradise. So I decided to share it.
Started this game in the old map (cannibal hunters) and when I moved to the new map I found this lovely spot with fair water, wheat and lots of cactus. Iron, stone, and copper are all within my outpost walls. I was really happy to see that great Shek minds think alike when my new neighbors moved in.
It really is just a basic quick keep, very chaotic setup, expanded the walls a couple times, pretty loose placement of everything. My Shek are mostly nomadic, Hunting is life. So they didn't put much effort into a basic hunting camp that they expected they would leave later. But it turns out it's a very functional base.
I brought enough human slaves from the old world (26) to work the fields, do menial tasks a Shek warrior would not. And my Hunters have several Gutter nests near by to keep the outpost supplied with meat. (my peta mod gives 13 meat per gutter). Between dustwiches for the slaves, and meatwraps for the Shek, I have 4 full food stores.
The Hunters spend most their time hunting Dustys. The den guard keep the Keep safe. You will notice the tear drop fence to the right that surrounds a copper cache. I had trouble getting walls all the way around it, so that design brings any bandits who attack my miners all the way around in front of my main gate turrets. Few make it past. And I have 3 guards assigned to body guard the two slaves that work the mine. So if one does make it past they quickly end up on the ground.
Also you notice the indented gate walls, this is a standard or all my outposts. It allows full coverage of anyone one trying to break down the gates. I also don't generally use walls larger then 2 as they are more buggy with building and weapon placements. I'm sure when the wall climbing update occurs I will have to change that policy.
My basic story for this game is a Pride of Shek that were nomads, have grown strong enough to build a Keep. Their favorite pastime is still hunting cannibals so I'm looking to take them on a raid north.
Till now Stone was happy leading the band into HN territory and raising hell with them. He was happy as the leader of a large pride content just to hunt, humans, gutters, cannibals, Gorillos. But after visiting the new neighbors he's a bit jealous and might need to enclose all the area from the copper pit to the front wall and build some bigger buildings. Several of the new recruits he gained from the Neighbors called him "lord", and he liked that. Now he's thinking perhaps he should be the only one with that title?

Damn, judging by the size of him you found a way to recruit leviathans.........or discovered the local buffet.
My question is, who is the sorry sob that carries him when he is down?
Final note: train that one to be a stealth expert/assassin expert. Would make for a nice surprise to H/N.

Since i got your attention. Will the bulkiness change in the game? The wimpiness doesnt seem to change the bulk at all. I made my strength to 200 and my science to 5000+ and my bulkiness way overpowered the wimpiness, there was no balance at all.
That's because those skills do not have any negative effect on muscle bulk, they negate muscle definition. Which is just the lines of the muscles and stuff visible on the character. And I note, your character does not appear to have them at all.
And since I'm here, here's my main Kenshi. (And his pet)

Onward squad in front of my house in Mongrel. Spike is the main character I started with. The Ironrock squad is basically 4 laborers taking care of financing my operation and crafting basic armor which I wear in slots not filled with glorious trophy gear.

Here's mine, I ended up putting way more work in then I intended seeing as It's smack in the middle of Holy Nation territory near Blister Hill..
But oh well it was still nice. Wit hthe new part of the map open, I'm exploring it now with a couple of my people to search for a nice little spot to set up a more permanent base.
