Hey everyone, I'm Marco, I'm relatively new to kenshi, I love this game and I think it's brilliant, mandatory thanks for keeping the work up. I recently started planned to publish a mod I'm making to address the small bugs and tweak the game as I personally like and need it. I still feel kinda lost having to search steam and here for stuff not to be duplicates or suggestions / bug reports already made or whatever, so excuse me if I don't see everything. I hope to contribute in some in some way to make the game greater, as I'm loving it, all the world shall love it!

Oh, I'm an old crazy weirdo freak sometimes, but I usually don't hurt anyone, they just keep me at a leash, no cage required, you are safe. :p

Wish you all the best time on Kenshi, see you.

Welcome to the community! Mods are always welcome, i guess, keep 'em coming! And it won't really hurt if you'll suggest something that's already been suggested before. The worst thing you'll get would be a little grumble from me or Hatsune, or any other member who've seen things :D

*tries to stay on subject while slowly escaping it*
So I'm losing my eyesight, I was like a fuckin eagle, I could see and shot things miles away, after the 30's I can barely see things on my tv standing 10ish feets from me, the best part is that I don't shoot things anymore, I can't think back to the poor birds, how was I so stoopit.

Also, which unit of measure do you guys use? Meters for me, but I often automatically use feets while typing in english.

Don't ask why do I ask, just ask not to ask if me asking is asking you to ask me to not ask.

Also, I'm italian, sorry for my bad english. (being italian is the best excuse for not knowing english)

How about we all standardize to be lazy idiots that use the same language (that would be english) and units (that would be meters)?
Now in all seriousness, I think it's not that difficult to switch language and/or whatever to make things easier in the future, starting from teaching it at primary (elementary) school, or even before (yeah ok, I didn't discover fire, they already teach english in the most part of the world) I mean it in a more radicate way, english is obligatory and when you exit school you should perfectly speak it. I had a hard time learning english at school, I couldnt care less and I didn't know why I should have learned it, I dropped school after middle (still regretting it, sometimes) and I had the best time learning english, it just came in to me while I was doing something that interested me. And even if I can't remotely affirm I know english, I can communicate and understand things I need. For kids should be even easier, you learn meters while learning feet (there's no s in feet, just fuckin remember it!), I learn english while learning italian. Maybe it's just me, but a little more standardization makes life easier (even if not directly yours, but furture ones for sure), so why not start todayrightnow? VOTE OCRAM FOR A STANDARDIZED FUTURE, YOUR KIDS WILL THANK YOU! xd

Here, in the country of drunk bears we always use meters to measure the lenght of our bala... eh, any distances, liters to measure vod... volumes, and so on and so forth, metric rocks. I can't possibly understand what the hell the foot and other imperial measures are, but that system reminds me of the old russian measures, the ancestors used the lenghts of the fingers\palms\arms\etc to measure, well, lengths, and then there was some weird equivalent for weights. That system has been in use till around... probably the WWII, i guess. I won't advocate for "metric everywhere" though, to each their own, if they like that archaic system, so be it, non of my business, i like some oldschool stuff too :)

And although mandatory english sounds a little off as well, back in my school days that's what you'd basically get, you can't finish a year if you've got bad grades for any discipline, including english, or any other foreign languages. That doesn't guarantee, however, a potent knowledges upon graduation :)

Also i disagree about excuses. The best one for not knowing english would be, apparently, being a russian. My fellow bears would oftenly disrupt various random english-speaking public chats to yell something like: "Не буду я учить ваш английский, у меня есть Калашников, Т-90 и Тополь-М" which basically means: "I don't need no english, my country has got superior weaponry".

Also, excuse me for returning to that point, but i'm sorry for your eyes problem. I can't imagine how difficult it must be, and can only hope it could be reversed or slowed down enough somehow :( Be strong there, don't loose the spirit!

On the more merry matters though, once i've been nearly shot at the gun range. It was a trial session, and while i was a bit familiar with the gun etiquette, the fucker to my left was not, apparently, he shot several rounds off that AK, then put his left hand off a foregrip, and started to sway it, with right hand, finger still on the trigger, in my direction, and several moments later, pulled the trigger accidentally. It was still pointed relatively far from me, and towards the target, but it was literally RIGHT AFTER the range guy has instructed everyone not to do any such things. I was surprised they let him continue shooting after that. So that's my experience with firearms. And while i dont think i could've shoot a living thing under any but extreme circumstances, shooting targets was very ok :)

Woah, that's a lot of text. Please, forgive me, must be my certain deficit of chatting :)

So, back to telltaling things, that was a while... And bringing a gift, if it can be so called.

Long story short (was way longer, I save you from reading):
I wouldn't force anyone either, it's a matter of education, no one forces you to learn, but in school that's what you're supposed to do, learn to prepare for your future, I'm just thinking it's easier for the brain of a kid to learn basic things like language and measurements. I know you will not vote for me anyway, it's fine :p

You got a point. Second best?

I should have searched for a better term, sorry. But it really dropped in a matter of a couple years or so, I should get checked. :/

"How that rambo guy is still shoting after that?" xd

About the gift. "Hey Okran, you introduced yourself as a creep, I mean as a modder, where's your stuff?" Haha! It's Ocram. And I feel my stuff is not gonna be finished before the next update. I'm lazy and stupid, this doesn't help speeding things up. :p
For those willing to test stuff (and maybe give feedback/pointers), I made a bunch of mass changes that I can't track one by one, most of the things are not tested nor balanced, some don't even make sense, like HN with robotics task (they still need a repair kit to use it so pretend it's never happening) but I'm playing fine with it loaded, it's kinda safe to use. For more safeness, you should start a new game.
My general goal is to make things a bit more challenging and interensting, but also that make sense, if something is too easy it's likely to be not my intention. (sorry shidan, I had to take away these books and eng.res. [edit] it's not in this mod nvm xd)

So, there is a little piece of what I'm doing, feel free to take things from it, it's just simple changes anyway.

Old. Will be on nexus with something more.

It seems like I'm kinda late to the party... I apologize!
I mostly lurk, but that's not always the case. Have seen your suggestion thread a couple of days ago and liked it a lot. Also, fellow italian here!

Hey, welcome, feels like we're all late.
I really hope the devs are not just pushing to get the game out this year, I would wait another year to get the untapped potential Kenshi has.
