Just wondering, is this still in the plan?

There is unfinished dialogue for it in the editor.

I think it would be cool having some of your men pressed into joining those holy nation or samurai patrols, (greenlander males for HN, anybody for the samurai). Or your shek joining the shek patrols....

Hope it's planned. Would make sense if every faction would want something from your outpost: conscripts for HN, money for Empire, narcotics for Swampers, etc.

I had the holy nation make that request a long time ago, but have not had it since, so don't know if that is still a thing.

It doesn't seem much different than slavery to implement, swap out their equipment for a uniform and give them a job to follow/bodyguard the leader, leave it up to the player to choose if they want to cancel the job and run off or follow orders and join any battles.

Could be a good way for a new player to gain experience, fighting alongside allied soldiers who will help you and heal you afterwards.... at the cost of a relation hit if you do a runner.

Ah you are talking about playing a conscripted character. I think they just took the character and they were removed from my squad. Kind of like when they require you to hand over any non humans.

Hope it'll be an actuall conscription whenif implemented, just as bozo thinks of it, with some option to "retire" after some considerable ingame time, maybe month or half a year.

I never knew you perma lose control of your character to HN if you listen to their orders to release shek/nonhumans into their custody. Can you ever get them back if that happens?

Don't know for sure, it was a long time ago and I never did get them back, but much has changed since then might be totally different now.
