Looks like maybe a missing string reference (though possibly intentional).

I've included a screenshot with the map of the area this was encountered in. But basically, if you look at the cursor to the left of the screenshot, below the cursor, you see the Error code as a name, and above it you see the creature that when clicked reported its name as Error Code 0xFFFFFF. (The one in the green pants, but there are two humanoids, and both report that error as their names.)
