Hey ho,

My workers can't find their way to my storage boxes anymore. Or they think that they don't exist anymore. I don't know. What happened:

I have bought one of the houses in Squin and put a Ore and a Copper Ore Storage Box into it. I put my five workers on mining by assigning them a permanent job. The veins are the two copper and single iron vein right outside of Squin. Everything worked fine until I built a small shack just outside of Squin. Now my workers don't auto-haul anymore. Even when I tell them to haul into the storage boxes in my house in Squin they try to run there but stop a couple of meters outside of Squin and return back to the veins. Where they then turn around once again running for Squin. Good Athletics training but not exactly useful. :(

I dismantled my Shack to see if that does anything but it didn't. Also: I still have the little map marker indicating the position of my outpost. Despite there not being an outpost anymore. A trader just arrived as well. Did he prevent my outpost from vanishing by needing a valid destination? And does my new output override my building in Squin in terms of jobs/auto-hauls?

can you zip up and upload the affected save folder
Please upload the crashdump.zip file.
if the game did not create one, then zip up and upload the kenshi.log file after the game crashes and before you restart it.

You can find the files at default install location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi
Save file locations are at default install location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\save

To upload your crashdump.zip or Kenshi.zip ( Kenshi.log file ) or save folder,
You can use any of these free cloud storage services
dropbox
googledrive
File Dropper
or the main forum ( 10 megs max ) to post your bug reports.
You can post the link on the steam forums or on the Lo-Fi Forums.

Any free cloud storage service should be acceptable long as it offers free access to the data for non registered users.

You can read the pinned topic How to report a crash/bug for more information on how to report bugs.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?

Ha,

I fixed it. I called upon the Shift+F12 thingy and removed my empty outpost marker. Now everything's back to normal. Perfect :)

Do you know why this happened? Does the outpost take priority over any other housing and thus made my workers not find any storage containers because there weren't any in the outpost?
