So this has been driving me up the wall, I have 2-3 characters on a corpse detail for the furnace and after a fight sometimes when a body is to be picked up the game CTDs without a report. This happens quite often and I keep validating the install through steam it re-downloads 2-3 files that 'have failed to validate' I start up again and after some time it happens again and again.
I imported a few times too and after a while I also re-installed the game after deleting everything and started a new game thinking it was the save files but then it started happening again.
Game used to run fine a few months back when I firsted started playing, very few crashes if any and now it is frustrating.

No solution to this issue or did I post in the wrong forum. If anyone has any workaround please let me know.

you posted in the right forum
but bug reports do not instantly get fixed
they take the information, look at it, and decide what they can do about it
sometimes they ask for more information, or let one know a fix is coming via a patch ( not often but it does happen )
but most times you will not hear from them.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

Hi there,
I also encountered the same bug. It happens randomly when picking up bodies.
Nothing was written in the kenshi.log and crashDump, but only in the Windows Application log.
