New members say "Hi"
Greetings, fellow Wanderers. I've come to this shelter from the blistering heat of the desert but recently, and I think I'm going to like it here.
I'm a huge fan of supporting games with potential, ever since I took the plunge back in '09 and bought Minecraft in pre-alpha (I mean look how far it's come!), so when I heard about this game I had to repeat my Minecraft performance. This game looks very promising, and it's already a pretty good distraction when I get tired of the more mainstream titles I play.

Hello, welcome to Kenshi! (Where if the heat will not kill you, the bandits will !
)
I bought pre-Alpha Minecraft around Aug-Sept of 2010. The first thing that caught my eye was Minecraft's dynamic water.

I myself joined the whole "Support Alpha-games" thing completely by accident. When I first heard about cortex command I visited their forum, joined and later noticed the humble indie-bundle (Which contained minecraft (Didn't purchase Minecraft license till later)). Basically, one Pre-Alpha led to another and branched out into many directions.

Hi, I just joined the forum. A month before that I tried the demo. And in two days I'm grabbing the game from the Indiefort Bundle. And if it's not there, I'll buy the game full price.
Not much else to say
this is a game I'll definitely follow through, and I hope we can get the ultimate game.

Yo. Thought I'd stop by the forums and see what was up while I install the game.
I got some huge nostalgia when the name of this game first caught my eye. Growing up as a kid/teenager I had a friend who loved writing stories. Himself, his brother and I were always into the feudal Japan / Samurai scene, so naturally that's a lot of what we fantasized and wrote about. What a coincidence that he began writing a story named Kenshi. I can't specifically remember what it was about, but being something like 14/15 years old, it probably wasn't very deep.
Anyways just wanted to share an old story with you guys. I'm really looking forward to playing and supporting this game. It's brought back so many good childhood memories, and hopefully I'll forge some new ones along the journey that is... Kenshi. Dun dun dun.
Ok that's it for my cheesy ending.

Heya! Just found this game for the second time, no idea how I managed to lose track of it before, and I bought it this time around!
...that is all...?
Oh yeah, lol, AMAZING game by the looks of it! I haven't tried much of it yet due to a weird bug I'm having, but it is most certainly cool, I can't wait to see how this one turns out!

Hi everyone! I saw a topic about Kenshi on the Bay12 forums and it sounded amazing. After I checked out the '11 trailer and the website, I knew it deserved my money.
This is a rare game that compells me to buy at such a young alpha version. But I think it could - no, IS - evolving into an incredible project, given enough time and good financial support. The world needs games like this, this giant open-world sandboxy explory fighty do-whatevery type. And the fact that it's non-fantasy already makes it a rare specimin of its breed.
I am at once very excited by Kenshi's potential, and terrified that its single developer may one day burn out before fully realising his dream. I truely hope that doesn't happen, so I'm doing what I can (buying the game, spreading the word) to bring in more support.
Chris, I love what you're doing here. Don't let anybody drag you down, or make you feel like this isn't worth it, or pester you about wasting time making trailers and eyecandy to feed their perpetual impatience. A game like this is going to take a long time for one man to produce, but I for one am thrilled to have this opportunity to watch the development as it happens. Keep it up!

Greetings everyone, this game sounds very much like one I really want to play when it's finished. So much that I happily purchased the alpha. There's a great deal of potential here and the last thing I'd want is the dev to lose hope or passion for his project. I'm also going to pass the link along to my brother who is a recently graduated animator, perhaps he could help? I know there's been talk of the need for an artist at some point, we'll see.
Best of luck Chris and the community.
