Instead of something that will be a nightmare for the devs to code, I wanted to suggest something simple that hopefully achieves a few things.
1. Devs don't pull hair out reading it thinking of the 100,000 lines of code that could be required (aka they might want to build it)
2. Players think it's a fair and balanced (aka not OP as hell, not cheesy suggestion) and something they could see using
3. It's something that the game modders could take and use for other purposes (future expansion ideas)

With that said, I ask for the Specialized inventory slots.

Atm we have everything as is, no problems there, however we could expand upon it in a few ways that shouldn't break the 3 points I gave for myself above. So maybe these additions won't break the game but can add to it.
A. Quiver slot - only for quivers, they hold bolts, arrows and possibly javelins if the game goes that direction - this is in addition to the backpack slot, bigger ones are good but slow you down, combined with a backpack mean massive combat and movement restrictions
B. Belt slot - belts, the right kind of belt can effect the characters job/task. Farmers/miners get tool belts to make them work a few percent faster, fighters either get better armor, or unlock a new slot for themselves the SCABBARD slot
C. Scabbard slot - only able to be unlocked with the right belt enabled. Enables a 4th slot for a weapon, but ONLY a single weapon
D. Lunch box/pack slot - this slot can only hold a bag, item that holds food, nothing else. Think of it like a knapsack off to the side, you need the lunch pack/box, without it you have to use your default inventory. Depending on the box used, it can either have no encumbrance or a few penalties to movement.
E. Gloves slot - gloves and gauntlets enabled, some extra protection for arms, and can help in combat or in the right industry job. Oven mitts for bakers/cooks, hardened gloves for miners, canvas gloves for farmers to work a few percent faster (they're avoiding callouses)

All of these would be mod-able slots or enable equipment that could change how the character reacts. Having the ability to make your character LOOK a certain way is always in players minds in most games, so this enables that. Just include a tailor (like a plastic surgeon in towns) where players can change the way an item looks along with the color and players would most likely love it.

The drawback of course comes from more resources or cats to make/buy these items. They also do not give monumental bonuses or massive inventory room, however getting them can make the character perform better, or look better, or both. Think of Sandals for your workers/farmers, this would just take that a little further in other slots and enable a little less resource clogging of character inventory as they do jobs WITHOUT the brute force approach of 'just make our inventories bigger from the start'

Hopefully this hits points 1 to 3, I will gladly edit in better suggestions as they are made, I'm not perfect at suggestions, I just want to see Kenshi 2 be as good as it can be and most importantly, as fun as it can be.

Thank you for your time reading this!
