Losing save/load functions.

As the title says, after what seems to be random periods of time, save/load, quicksave/load and exit stop working completely.

What I've tried so far :

This is taken from a post on steam :
1. Go to your saves folder
2. Here is the folder "current" - open it
3. Open another save folder you are willing to overwrite.
3. Take the contents of "current" and paste them into another save folder (you will overwrite the one you paste over)

- Changed windows permissions to be able to remove read-only from game folders ( but for some reasons even with full admin privileges Windows keeps turning read-only back on)

- I tried both save game location (the one in user/appdata ....) and the game folder one (steam/steamapps/common/kenshi/save)

- In Windows defender menus :
-> Tamper protection : off
-> Controlled folder access : off

- Issue is occuring after a clean reinstall with or without mods.

- Steam cache has been cleared.
