Game crashes when heading south from The Hub to Squin

This happens no matter what I try. I've have:
* restarted my computer,
* turned down all my video settings to minimum
* used steam to verify my files
* uninstalled and reinstalled kenshi
* gone into \data\newland\land\overlaymaps\ and deleted all the files named new_overlay.x.x.png. Then re-validate my files on steam

No mods are installed.

None of it has worked.

I would advise testing for zone corruptions, as explained in my guide here:

Instructions to remove it if there is some are also included there.

There are also other things to test and see if is a similar issue.

Thank you for your reply. I followed the instructions from your helpful guide but still no dice. I've waisted as much time as I'm willing on this game and now I'm done.
