Game Crashes on save or when changing zones, Version 1.0.55

When I load into the game everything works fine until I try save, no matter what type of save, quicksaves or autosaves, the game freezes and crashes and it gives me a report telling me how to report a bug.
I don't know if its related but when I change zones like I have my squad travelling sometimes just before the message pops up saying the zones name the game will freeze and all sound will stop and I will receive the bug message.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and verifying the files.
I play with mods but have never experienced problems before

Try disabling the distant towns setting in the options menu. Looks like it's causing the crash.
