Crash after starting new game in proton

This the first game I haven't been able to play under proton, which is very disappointing since I was looking forward to it so much. Attached is the crash dump I hope something can be done.

Windows is the only OS supported.
We do have someone who can look into the crashdump but generally. any issues arisen from using a non supported OS can not be fixed by the Devs, use on another OS at your own risk.

but on general, try disabling distant towns option for starters.

Unfortunately no errors of note in the logs. The dump does have an error I've never seen before, but unfortunately it means nothing to me. My guess would be an issue with running it through proton, I've often heard of issues with trying to run the game with emulators.
