First off let me say, I see great potential in this game. I am aware this game is still in alpha. With that being said I see places for improvement. Keep in mind that I will be saying "I" or "myself" as these are my personal opinion.

1) I know you are still trying to get the sound studio and a profession sound guy. But maybe until you do it would be possible just to get some game music looping in the background. Right now as soon as i turned the game on i get Total War Shogun 2 sound track in the back.

2) I feel very detached from the game. Especially in combat. I think if you added a way to actually control your person(not right click) like a third person directional attacking kind of thing. I hate to use this as a reference because your game is a lot different but Mount and Blade combat is something i loved.

3) Some kind of tutorial in game. I found it a little tough to figure out what to do at the start.

4) Let people choose what skills they would like to start with. At Character creation give people that stat points and let them allocate them how they want.

5) Let people choose their starting equipment. This kind of goes with #4. Obviously if I don't take a point in katana I don't want to have a katana.

Feel free to add suggestions everyone. I can edit this first post(When i have time.) and add them to the list.

EDIT

I am still new to this game and have only been playing a day or so. As I play and find more things i will update this list with more of suggestions!

6) Dual Wielding weapons. I don't know if i just did it wrong but i noticed i could put two swords in the main weapon spot. I thought 'WOW I will get to use two swords at once!" But no i ran into some bandits and just pulled out the one.

7) The option to locally host servers. For any who have played Minecraft you might know that there are not really any Mojang(Creator of Minecraft) servers. The main way to play online is for someone to host the server on his or her own computer. I would like to see the ability to say start a server with a player max of 4-8 for myself and my friends. I think it would be amazing to siege my buddies city!

1. Chris has said he doesn't want game music at all. Sound will eventually be done but no music I believe. Just put your own stuff in the background, its not so hard. there is a music thread in the Off-Topic subforum so you can see some suggestions.

2. This isn't mount and blade. Also, while the game isn't so complex now it is expected to become much more so. You are not controlling 1 guy. he can die and the 'faction' or party continues on. Think of this more as an RTS game like say Warcraft or starcraft or age of empires of command and conquer.

3. There is some in-game documentation in the 'Help' section. Check the interface for the button, I think in the bottom right. Also, I think the Kotaku website has some great articles ripping into the modern requirement for hand-holding in games; not that I am suggesting that you need hand-holding.

4. Could be interesting. But think of it this way; rather than having no skills your character actually has ALL skills. He can wield any weapon (I cannot in real life) and can do a bunch of things such as basic engineering and construction of some fairly complex buildings (at least in the beta-update).
The point of the game is that you start of weaker than everyone else and must work hard to actually move up and beyond your starting limitations.
To give you some stats at game start would complicate the issue, at least in the current game balance. Either it would be so few stats that you really don't gain much beyond a couple of points in 1 or 2 areas in which case it isn't worth the effort as stats gain quickly early on. OR other low level bandits would need to be buffed in which case you may as well not have any points as there is no overall change in relative strengths.

5. Could be interesting, but again we are not playing a single character but instead a whole team/faction. The amount of game time required to get a basic weapon of ANY class is very short compared to the expected length of a game. This is more like survival with whatever we can scrounge together and your dude at game start managed to get 1000kats and a shitty katana. But still, could be interesting.

6. I forget Chris's stance on this. I think he may have said that it will happen eventually, but don't hold me to that. Search the forums because I know there was a thread about that somewhere a few months back.

7. The game isn't multiplayer. Again I forget Chris's stance on that but I believe it might have been along the lines of single player forever. *pretend I inserted the 'forever alone' meme pic here*

The only problem chris had i believe was finding adequate animations for dual wielding. It probably won't be in the game (until much later at least).

No multiplayer, that's sure. Chris would practically need to change most of the core code for multi, the mechanics are just too different.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.
