Pretty awesome. The animals really add a lot.
Yeah, I'm curious to see what the animations for fighting an animal will look like, It'd be cool if it looks a bit different than a regular sword fight, you'd probably want to dart around a lot rather than try to block a giant monster giraffe or death dog. I'll also be interested to find out what kind of damage resistance they have and what kind of damage their attacks are considered, it'd be kinda cool too if the dogs can manage some kind of pin down and try to pull your guys apart.Scotterius wrote:Pretty awesome. If they're trying to dodge, or escape from being pinned down, then encumbrance is definitely going to start having an effect in combat. I mean you can't really jump out of the way if you're carrying so much stuff that you can't even run. IIRC, Chris also plans on putting a fatigue system in, which will affect how long you can run, and fight effectively for.
I'm wondering if we'll see any animations for climbing on beasts to kill them Shadow of the Colossus style.

If i'm not mistake, based on the images it appear that the animals will have different HP values on all their body parts. I wonder if this will lead to your higher level characters able to get small increases in limb values and/or blood increase.
